News Corp. and OpenAI have formed a "multi-year global partnership" that grants OpenAI access to current and archived articles from News Corp.'s outlets, including The Wall Street Journal, MarketWatch, Barron's, The New York Post, and more.
OpenAI will have the ability to show content from News Corp.-owned outlets in its ChatGPT chatbot, as well as use News Corp's content to improve its products or train its AI models.
As part of the deal, News Corp. will contribute its journalistic expertise to help maintain the highest journalism standards across OpenAI's offerings, according to a release.

Reddit has announced a partnership with OpenAI, granting the ChatGPT maker access to its Data API to train its AI models on Reddit content.
Reddit will partner with OpenAI to offer AI features to users and moderators, and also become an advertising partner for the company.
OpenAI recently released a new AI model and desktop version of ChatGPT, along with an updated user interface, making GPT-4 accessible to everyone, including its free users, as announced by Chief Technology Officer Mira Murati in a livestreamed event last week.
GPT-4o, the new model, is "significantly quicker" and has enhanced text, video, and audio capabilities, according to Murati. OpenAI intends to enable users to engage in video chats with ChatGPT in the future.
