Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, will visit South Korea.
Meta announced that Mark Zuckerberg is planning to visit South Korea and is scheduling important meetings during his trip, without providing further details.
According to unnamed sources with knowledge of the matter, Zuckerberg is expected to meet chairman Jay Y. Lee later this month to discuss AI chip supply and other generative AI issues, as reported by South Korean newspaper Seoul Economic Daily earlier on Wednesday.
The CEO of Meta may also meet with South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol, according to the paper.
It would be his first known visit to South Korea since 2013.
Zuckerberg sought a meeting with Yoon, as confirmed by a presidential official, but no additional information was disclosed.
Samsung declined to comment.
