Reid Hoffman and Mustafa Suleyman's start-up, Inflection AI, has recruited top artificial intelligence experts from Google and Microsoft, as reported by CNBC analysis.

Inflection, headquartered in Silicon Valley, aims to create AI software that simplifies human-computer communication.

Initially, when the company was launched, only three team members were publicly announced: Suleyman, Hoffman, and former DeepMind researcher Karén Simonyan. Now, additional members have joined the team.

This month, Heinrich Kuttler left his position as a research engineering manager at Meta AI in London to join the founding team at Inflection, where he will work on the technical side of the business, according to his LinkedIn page. Like many others, he has departed Meta since CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced a shift towards the "metaverse."

In February, Joe Fenton left his position as a senior product manager at Google to join the founding team at Inflection AI, where he works on the product side of the business.

Neither Kuttler and Fenton, who previously worked at DeepMind with Suleyman, nor Inflection, responded to a CNBC request for comment. Similarly, Meta and Google did not immediately respond to a CNBC request for comment.

Individuals who secure AI positions at DeepMind, Google, and Meta often possess impressive resumes. For instance, Fenton holds a first-class degree in physics from the University of Warwick in England, while Kuttler studied theoretical and mathematical physics at top universities in Germany.

Since selling LinkedIn for $26.2 billion in 2016, Hoffman has not co-founded any companies. Similarly, Suleyman has not co-founded any companies since selling DeepMind for around $600 million in 2014. Both individuals are also investors at Greylock.

At the time of the launch, CNBC reported that Hoffman stated that AI is one of the most transformative technologies of our time.

Joining Mustafa and Karen in building Inflection is a privilege as he has been at the forefront of some of the most exciting advances in artificial intelligence.
