  • According to Ming-Chi Kuo, the upcoming Apple Watch will feature a slimmer design and a bigger display screen.
  • Kuo said the watch will also include components manufactured using 3D-printing technology.
  • Intensive testing of 3D-printing technology "significantly enhanced" production efficiency, according to Kuo.

On Monday, in a blog post, Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst, stated that the upcoming Apple Watch will feature a slimmer design and a larger display screen.

The Apple Watch Series 10 is predicted to be launched in September, along with new iPhone models and wearables, according to Kuo. The screen sizes of the two Apple Watch models will be increased from 41mm to 44mm and from 45mm to 49mm.

The Apple Watch Ultra model's specifications will remain mostly the same, with a possible addition of a darker case option if production yields are met, according to Kuo.

Starting in the second half of the year, the watch will feature components made using 3D printing technology, Kuo stated.

Apple has not yet mass-produced devices using 3D printing, but the company tested 3D printing for Apple Watch Series 9 production in 2023 to improve production efficiency.

According to Kuo, Bright Laser Technologies will provide 3D-printed watch components. He stated that demand for shipments of the China-based 3D-printing company's parts is expected to increase in the future due to the cost benefits of 3D printing. Additionally, Kuo mentioned the possibility of using the technology in the production of Apple Watch cases.
