In December, nonfarm payrolls grew much more than expected, with a gain of 256,000, surpassing the predicted increase of 155,000. The unemployment rate also decreased to 4.1%, indicating a strong labor market. This data has led to the belief that the Federal Reserve may cut interest rates less than anticipated this year.
