The Office for National Statistics released flash figures indicating that the U.K. economy grew 0.2% in August compared to the previous month.

According to Reuters, economists predicted GDP growth of 0.2%, which was in line with the actual GDP.

In contrast to the previous quarter, Britain's economic growth rate decreased by 0.3% in the three months ending August, compared to the 0.5% growth recorded in the previous three months.

In August, the U.K.'s dominant services sector experienced a slight growth of 0.1%, while production and construction output increased by 0.5% and 0.4%, respectively.

The UK economy experienced a flatline in June and July, following a period of steady expansion in almost every month this year.

Reeves has suggested that she may modify the nation's debt regulations to release more funds for investment promotion.

The government has stated that the plans are part of its vision for a period of "national revitalization," as it tries to instill hope in the public mindset following its portrayal of a dismal economic outlook.
