After the speech, Powell will participate in a moderated discussion with Ellen Zentner, the global head of thematic and macro investing at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management.
The Federal Open Market Committee recently approved a half-percentage-point reduction in its key overnight borrowing rate, marking the first rate reduction in over four years. As a result, markets anticipate the Fed to make additional cuts this year and in 2025, based on the trajectory of the economic data.
