On Wednesday afternoon, Brad Garlinghouse, CEO of Ripple Labs, will deliver a speech at DC Fintech Week in Washington, D.C.

Last summer, Ripple, the largest XRP coin holder, achieved a partial victory in a three-year legal battle with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. This landmark win for the crypto industry set a precedent that could help determine when other cryptocurrencies might be classified as securities. However, the SEC recently appealed that decision.

Garlinghouse will discuss the lawsuit against Ripple, his role in informing U.S. crypto regulation, and his donations to the Fairshake pro-crypto political action committee during the upcoming presidential election.

The CEO will discuss the reasons behind his company's entry into the growing stablecoin market with the launch of Ripple USD (RLUSD) this year.
