Barry Diller believes that companies will adopt a standard of four days in the office with flexible Fridays.
According to Barry Diller, companies may eventually adopt a four-day in-person workweek with a flexible Friday option.
"The Expedia chairman stated in an interview with CNBC's "Squawk Box" on Thursday that the range of work-from-home and in-person combinations is madness, which will lead to four days in the office and Fridays can be worked from home or at one's own schedule."
The Covid-19 pandemic has led companies to adopt flexible working schedules, but the abundance of choices has resulted in some "disarray" at companies, as stated by Diller.
"It is necessary to standardize the evolution of all this, as having 17,000 different programs would make it difficult to manage the related aspects."
Steve Cohen, the owner of the Mets, stated during an interview with CNBC's "Squawk Box" on Wednesday that the growth of artificial intelligence could lead to a shortened four-day work week.
