On Friday, King Charles III was admitted to a private hospital in London for a "corrective procedure" related to an enlarged prostate, according to Buckingham Palace.
The 75-year-old king will receive treatment at the London Clinic, where the Princess of Wales is recovering from abdominal surgery. The king visited Kate at the hospital after arriving.
"The King was admitted to a London hospital for scheduled treatment this morning, and he thanks all those who have sent their well-wishes in the past week," the palace stated.
Charles, who has been reigning for 16 months, was diagnosed with a benign condition on January 17th after going for a check-up due to symptoms. He canceled engagements and was advised to rest before the procedure.
The king's surgery publicity is viewed as a chance to motivate men to undergo prostate checks in accordance with health recommendations.
The palace announced that the king was pleased to hear that his diagnosis was positively impacting public health awareness.
