Andreessen Horowitz, the venture firm founded by Marc Andreessen and Ben Horowitz, has announced plans to make substantial contributions to political action committees backing Donald Trump's presidential campaign, according to CNBC.

The expected donations, based on Trump's planned tech agenda, were initially reported.

Recently, prominent investors such as Palantir co-founder Joe Lonsdale, crypto billionaires Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, Tesla CEO Elon Musk, and venture capitalist David Sacks have donated to America PAC, a super PAC formed to support Trump.

Since its inception in 2009, Andreessen Horowitz has supported various companies, including OpenAI, Facebook, Airbnb, Anduril, Box, DoorDash, and GitHub.

The founders of the firm have not made any formal endorsements for the 2024 election. Andreessen, known for his criticism of Silicon Valley's left-leaning tendencies, supported Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton in 2016, tweeting "I'm with her."
