According to Bloomberg, the iPad family will be revamped next year to simplify the customer experience and boost sales, with new iPad Pro and iPad Air models expected to launch in March.

In 2023, Apple did not release new iPads, resulting in a 3% decline in sales from fiscal 2022 to fiscal 2023. This was a 10% decrease in iPad revenue in the company's fiscal fourth quarter, following a 8% decline the previous year. Apple had warned of double-digit declines in its iPad and Mac segments.

Apple plans to simplify the selection process for iPad models by introducing big upgrades and making it easier to distinguish between them. Currently, Apple offers five different iPad models, each with varying accessories and chargers. This complexity makes choosing an iPad more challenging than with any of Apple's other products.

According to a report, the iPad Pro is set to be the top-line model, with the Air serving as the middle tier and the 11th generation iPad at the bottom. The upcoming changes to the iPad Pro include a better screen, the M3 chip, a new design, and a new Magic Keyboard attachment that is exclusive to iPad Pros.

According to the report, the new iPad Air will feature two screen sizes and an M2 chip.

According to reports, Apple is expected to launch an updated iPad mini and the 11th generation iPad, with the latter set to replace the ninth generation model that still features a home button. No specific release date has been announced.

Apple did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
