The electric vehicle market presents an opportunity for entrepreneurs, as electric vehicles are becoming increasingly popular and the demand for battery-electric cars is rising. However, one aspect that has not received much attention is the servicing of electric vehicles. For instance, Tesla, the largest electric car maker, has faced challenges in servicing its growing fleet.

Carl Medlock, a former territory manager for Tesla, recognized the demand for electric vehicle repair services and opened a shop in Seattle.

Medlock stated that we are one of the few places where individuals can find electric vehicles (EVs).

Auto repair of the past is quite different from running an EV-focused shop.

"An ICE repair shop requires an electrical engineering background or an understanding of diagnostics, but it doesn't need hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of tools," Medlock stated.

One of the biggest challenges he faces is obtaining parts for the Roadster. He explained, "I reach out to individuals globally, locate wrecked vehicles, and purchase parts from individuals who have previously owned these cars and have spare parts on hand."

When he cannot find a part, he makes it himself.

Medlock claims that his business has been thriving since he opened his shop, and it has already outgrown the new space it moved into last year.

"If you don't embrace electric cars and start preparing for it, you will fall behind in the industry," he advised.

The entrepreneur's business was driven by consumer demand.
