The "The Eras Tour" has made Taylor Swift a billionaire and positively impacted the economies of the cities she's performed in. Fans at her U.K. shows spent over $1,000 on tickets, lodging, and transportation.

A new Taylor Swift show is coming to London, and it's free.

From July 27th to September 8th, the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, commonly known as V&A South Kensington, will showcase Swift's "looks," including gowns, custom cowboy boots and ballet shoes, as well as musical instruments.

The "Songbook Trail" at the V&A will feature 13 installations, each focusing on a different period of Taylor Swift's career. Among the exhibits is the black dress she wore in the video for her 2024 song "Fortnight," as well as the lavender tulle dress from her 2023 "Speak Now (Taylor's Version)" album cover. In total, 16 outfits will be displayed.

Taylor Swift's early career personal items, including the costume she wore during her 2008 "Fearless" tour and the Taylor Koa guitar from the "Soul2Soul II" tour in 2006-07, are also included.

The V&A's "Taylor Swift: Songbook Trail"

The exhibit in the V&A's permanent galleries showcases costumes and other items from Swift's personal archive, highlighting her "celebrated looks," as stated by Kate Bailey, senior curator for theater and performance.

The artist's musical journey will be celebrated through intimate encounters, with Taylor Swift's songs serving as objects that tell stories. Bailey stated in an emailed statement that the specially created theatrical trail across the museum aims to inspire the imagination of curious visitors as they discover more about the performer, her creativity, and V&A objects.

In 1999, at the age of 16, Taylor Swift released her solo album "Taylor Swift" and performed on the "Soul2Soul II Tour" with Faith Hill and Tim McGraw. The V&A exhibit showcases a frilled, turquoise dress that Swift wore during the tour.

In 2010, Taylor Swift released "Speak Now," an album that reflected her transition to adulthood. This album was later re-recorded under the "Taylor's Version" moniker as part of Swift's effort to control her own master recordings. The back cover of the "Speak Now (Taylor's Version)" album features a lavender dress that Swift wore, as well as a ukulele that she played on the "Speak Now World Tour."

The exhibition showcases a cardigan Swift wore in a 2020 music video of the same name and a red gown by American-Japanese designer Tadashi Shoji that she wore in the music video for her 2021 song "I Bet You Think About Me."

Wembley Stadium murals

"The Eras Tour" by Taylor Swift showcases Swift's work at two large murals near London's Wembley Stadium. One of the murals, "Auras," was created by artist Frank Styles and is displayed on steps leading up to the stadium.

"Ready For It?" is a permanent mural created by street artists MurWalls and Humor, featuring Taylor Swift alongside song lyrics.
